ChildFund Rugby is World Rugby’s global Social Impact Partner, working with the rugby community to create measurable outcomes for children and young people. Together, we use rugby as a tool for life skills learning to help young people play, learn, and lead.
About the partnership
This is a multi-year collaboration that connects World Rugby’s global platforms - including major events - with ChildFund Rugby’s sport for social impact expertise, Union delivery partnerships, and monitoring and evaluation skills.
Our 2030 goal
Our shared ambition is to reach and empower 500,000 young people worldwide by 2030, supporting them to develop life skills, confidence, and positive pathways through the power of rugby.
How we create impact
We design initiatives that combine rugby participation with structured, evidenced learning. This approach uses the values of the game to support young people on and off the field.

Rugby World Cup 2025
ChildFund Rugby is World Rugby’s Social Impact Partner for Rugby World Cup England 2025. We are excited to play our role in championing the power of girls and women in rugby.
Past events
ChildFund and World Rugby have partnered on multiple Rugby World Cups and HSBC SVNS tournaments since 2019.
Since the formation of their partnership, ChildFund Rugby and World Rugby have worked together to promote inclusive, values-driven sport.
